• Alle  Unterschriften werden dem Präsidenten des IOC (International  Olympian  Committee),  Monsieur J.Rogge, sowie dem Regierenden Bürgermeister von Berlin, Herrn Klaus Wowereit,   dieses Jahr zugunsten der Promotion  des Projektes vorgestellt.

• Die „Olympiade“(“ TA OLYMPIA“) – gewidmet an den Götterkönig Zeus – war in der Antike das Top-Event für Sport, Kunst und Frieden!
• Im Jahre 2010 fand die erste Jugend-„Olympiade“ d.h. für die 14- bis 18-jährigen Sportler, in Singapur statt. Anlass genug, um den Olympischen Frieden wieder ins Leben zu rufen!
• Die „Olympiade“ begann offiziell 776 v.u.Z. in Griechenland und war zwölf Jahrhunderte lang der Top-Wettbewerb für Sport, Kunst und Frieden. Der römische Kaiser Theodosius verbot sie im Jahre 393; der Franzose Pierre de Coubertin (in kooperation dann mit dem Dichter Dimitrios Vikelas) rief sie Ende des 19. Jhs. wieder ins Leben, so dass 1896 die „Olympiade“ erneut in Athen, Griechenland stattfand.
• De Coubertin war ein sehr fähiger, begeisterter Promoter der „Olympiade“, er achtete auf Authentizität: Parallel zu dem Sport war wie bekannt – nach dem Credo Griechenlands „kalo k´ agatho“ (dt. gesund und gut) – auch die Kunst im Wettbewerb. 1912 wurde Coubertin selbst – unter dem Pseudonym „Georges Hohrod et Martin Eschbach“ der erste sieger der wiederbelebten „Olympiade“ in der Disziplin Literatur () mit dem Werk „Ode an den Sport“ ausgezeichnet. 1913 entwarf er die Olympischen Ringe (), die ab 1920 Symbol der Olympischen Spiele wurden.
• Heute ist die „Olympiade“ lediglich ein Fest des Sports. Die Kunst findet kaum Beachtung. Weit wichtiger ist aber: Die „Olympiade“ war primär ein Fest der Fairness, der Solidarität, der wechselseitigen Verständigung u n d des F r i e d e n s. Überall im Land war – per Gesetz – wenn auch kurzfristig- Frieden bereits vor jeder „Olympiade“ etabliert. Da in unserer Zeit – im 21.Jhd. zu viel Krieg da ist (363 Zusammenstöße – Kriege inbegriffen – gab es vor zehn jahren weltweit, (Süddeutsche Zeitung, 18.01.2011)), möchten -wir alle- für den Frieden sehr energisch eintreten. Denn Krieg ist das Gegenteil von Fairness, Demokratie, Prosperität und Solidarität. Krieg ist Brutalität, Verwüstung und zu oft das Gegenteil von Leben.
• Wir alle – mit der Jugend“olympiade“ – treten mit unserer Unterschrift für ein internationales Friedenssymposion ein;wie: dass ab nun, während jede kommenden „Olympiade“, in jedem Kriegsgebiet – statt Krieg – wenigstens während der Spiele ein fairer, vitaler und demokratischer Dialog stattfindet. Damit so Gerechtigkeit und damit friedliche Koexistenz nach und nach erreicht wird.

Man fing wirklich klein an, was die Anzahl der Sportarten bzw. die Dauer des großen Festes betrifft.

Anfangs war alles in einem Tag getan. Alles? Ja, denn der Stadionlauf war anfangs die Sportdisziplin. Die Athleten liefen eine gerade Strecke von etwa 192 m (die Stadien waren damals viereckig,nicht rund wie heute). Später kamen andere Sportarten dazu (der Diaulos ab 724 v.u.Z., der Dolichos ab 720 v.u.Z., das Pentathlon ab 708 v.u.Z., der Faustkamf ab 688 v.u.Z. und das (oberste athlima ,das) Viergespannrennen ab 680 v.u.Z.).

Später also, in der Zeit der Klassik (5. Jh v.u.Z.), (und viel später) feierte man die Spiele f ü n f volle Tage lang.

Die „panegyris“ bestand – von Anfang an- aus dem „noblen“ sportlichen Wettbewerb , Kunst und Frieden. Es ging um die Bildung und Kultur des Körpers, des Geistes und der Seele.Zumindest zehn Monaten v o r Beginn der Spiele gingen die s p o n d o p h o r o i ,d.h. hier die Friedensgesandte aus Elis, die Friedens bote, mit einem Olivenzweig in die Hand von Stadt zur Stadt in die gesamten damaligen griechischen Welt um,( von Athen bis Kleinasien, dem schwarzen Meer , Nordafrika, Marseille bis Sizilien u.a. ) und verkündteten – zumindest zehn Monate vor Beginn des Festes – die „frohe Botschaft“, dass die Olympische Spiele stattfinden; sie luden von überall her freie Bürger, die talentierte Athleten waren, ein mitzumachen.Zugleich verkündeten sie die“ ieraekecheiria “ , d.h. den Olympischen Frieden. Das bedeutet: Jede Stadt oder Staatstadt, die daran teilnehmen wollte, sollte während dieser Zeit Frieden pflegen, bewirken, haben. Und obwohl es damals oft Streit (und Bürgerkrieg) gab, hielten sich während dieses Zeitraums fast alle daran, so dass keine nennenswerten Vereinbarungsverletzungen gab.

Bemerkenswert ist dabei auch dies: Sehr wahrscheinlich waren die spondophoroi nicht nur Friedens boten sondern darüber hinaus Friedensstifter. Deren Aufgabe für Frieden sich zu engagieren, also Frieden-bewirken, Frieden-stiften, genoss ein sehr hohes Ansehen, so dass deren Können später als eigene Olympische Disziplin eingestuft wurde. Die spondophoroi durften also – zumindest in der hellenistischen wie in der Kaiserzeit – bei den Olympischen Spielen selbst im Wettbewerb stehen. Der Beste gewann den Olivenzweig kranz und somit ein immenses Prestige für sich und seine Stadt.

Wir leben im 21. Jht. 2790 Jahre nach Beginn der Olympischen Spiele, in der heutigen Zeit also, stellen wir fest, dass es in unserer Welt nicht nur zahlreiche Differenzen, Turbulenzen und feindliche Handlungen, sondern auch -was am allerschlimmsten ist- in vielen Orten- das Gegenteil von Frieden (= Krieg) gibt. Es ist nun dringendnotwendig -mittels des demokratischen Dialogs -für Frieden als Basis für Leben und Prosperität einzutreten.

Unsere Forderung ist: da die heutige Form der „Iera Ekecheiria“ ein internationales Friedenssymposion ist, treten wir dafür ein. Dies soll stattfinden bei jeder künftigen Olympiade, beginnend ab der Olympiade in Sotschi / Russland 2014.

Die Olympiade ist nun zum Glück auch für Frauen offen. Frieden ist unsere gemeinsame Aufgabe. Werden wir heute -Frauen und Männer- zahlreich spondophores / spondophoroi des Olympischen Friedens, der „Iera Ekechreiria“!

*) „panegyris “ werden die Olympische Spiele in den Quellen der Antike genannt.Das gleiche Wort wird heute in griechenland verwendet und bedeutet genauso wie damals „fest für alle“.

Chères amies, chers amis

La création et l’implantation des Jeux Olympiques (JO) en Grèce, (en 776 av. J.-C.(date officielle) ont sûrement été de grands moments de la civilisation de cette époque. Les relancer en 1896 – ils avaient été interdits et donc «absents » pendant plus de 15 siècles – fut également un autre point culminant que nous devons à Monsieur Pierre de Coubertin (Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin). Au début, les „olympiades“(„TA OLY´MPIA“) étaient avant tout synonymes de sport, d’art et de PAIX. Cependant si cette dernière était encore respectée et valorisée d’après le principe «iera’ ekecheiria » (se donner la main pour conclure la paix), elle n’a pas vraiment vécue de renaissance en tant que telle. C’est donc tout particulièrement cet aspect de la paix, un des composants de base des JO, que nous aimerions remettre à l’ordre du jour en ces temps de guerres et de conflits un lors de chaque „Olympiade“.

Nous, les membres de l’initiative EUROPE INTERCULTURAL & FRIENDS, serions enchanté*es, oui heureux*ses, si, tout le monde qui parle la langue francaise et tout le monde francophile,également en hommage du premier initiateur des JO „modernes“ Monsieur Pierre de Coubertin,comme de Dimitrios Vikelas, premier president de l. IOC, soutenait ce projet, entre autres en signant notre pétition! Toutes vos remarques ou suggestions d’amélioration en faveur du projet sont bien entendu les bienvenues!

Toutes les signatures recueillies seront présentées aux personnalites interesse´s/es de l IOC (International Olympic Committee) et ceci, entre autres, pour la promotion du projet.

• Les Olympiades, dédiées à Zeus, Roi des Dieux, étaient L’Événement sportif, artistique et pacifique de l’Antiquité à ne pas manquer ! En 2010, pour la première fois, se sont tenues à Singapour les Olympiades de la jeunesse, i.e. pour les 14-18 ans. L’occasion de faire renaître le projet PAIX OLYMPIQUE !
• Les premiers Jeux Olympiques (JO) se déroulèrent en Grèce en 776 avant notre ère et, pendant 12 siècles, ils furent considérés comme La compétition sportive, artistique et pacifique à ne pas manquer. L’empereur Théodose 1er les fit interdire en l’an 393. Cependant, le Français Pierre de Coubertin (bravo !) les fit rétablir à la fin du 19ème siècle, de sorte qu’en 1896 les JO eurent de nouveau lieu (en Grèce).
• En tant qu’initiateur fervent et compétent des Olympiades, De Coubertin veilla tout particulièrement à en préserver l’authenticité : parallèlement aux épreuves sportives – suivant ainsi la devise grecque « kalo k’agatho » (sain et bon) – il y avait également des compétitions artistiques. En 1912, De Coubertin, sous le pseudonyme « Georges Hohrod et Martin Eschbach », remporta même la toute première médaille d’or dans la discipline de littérature grâce à l’œuvre « Ode au sport ». (En 1913, il conçut les anneaux olympiques, qui devinrent le symbole des jeux en 1920.)
• De nos jours, les JO représentent la célébration du sport. L’art n’en fait plus partie. Mais, ce qui est bien plus important est toujours là: En effet, les JO étaient avant tout le symbole du fair-play, de la solidarité, de la compréhension réciproque et de la paix. (À l’époque, avant le début des olympiades, une loi réinstaurait la paix partout dans le pays.) Aujourd’hui, au XXIème siècle, les guerres font rages, et pas seulement en Afghanistan ou en Iraq ; répétons-le : 363 (trois cent soixante-trois) affrontements, guerres incluses, sont recensés de par le monde actuellement (Süddeutsche Zeitung du 18.01.2011). C’est pourquoi nous devons tous – de façon péremptoire – nous prononcer pour la paix. Car la guerre, c’est l’opposé du fair-play, de la démocratie, de la prospérité et de la solidarité. La guerre, c’est l’injustice, la non-démocratie, la non-solidarité, la pire des misères ; c’est la terreur, la brutalité, la destruction voire le contraire de la vie. Tous ensemble – avec les Olympiades de la jeunesse – nous plaidons, par nos signatures, pour que dorénavant à chaque Jeux olympiques, tous les pays en guerre s’engagent pour au moins un jour à stopper les conflits et, à la place, à faire régner un DIALOGUE démocratique juste et indispensable. Afin que bientôt nous puissions tous accéder à la justice et coexister en paix.

Στόχος η

•  αναβίωση της  Ολυμπιακής εκεχειρίας,  δηλαδή  της περιόδου ειρήνης  στο μέλλον κατά την διάρκεια των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων.
• Να γίνει (σαν πρώτο βήμα) διεθνές συμπόσιο ειρήνης μέσω δημοκρατικού διαλόγου άμεσα, κατά την επόμενη Ολυμπιάδα, Λονδίνο 2012.

Αγαπητές φίλες και φίλοι,

Η Ολυμπιάδα είναι μια σημαντικότατη συμβολή της ελληνικής σκέψης στον πολιτισμό, στην ομορφιά και στην ειρήνη του πλανήτη μας. Όπως γνωρίζουμε η ολυμπιάδα, αφιερωμένη στο θεό των θεών, τον Δία Ξένιο, άρχισε το 776 π. Χ. και μετά 12 αιώνες απαγορεύτηκε (προσωρινά) το 393 μ. Χ.  και μετά περίπου 15 αιώνες την επανέφερε εν ζωή ο περίφημος Γάλλος Pierre de Coubertin. Υποστηρίζοντας το έργο του θέλουμε να δοθεί στο -εξής- όσο πιο ενεργά γίνεται  έμφαση στο νόημα της Ολυμπιακής ειρήνης της λεγόμενης <ιεράς εκεχειρίας>. Διότι στις ημέρες μας υπάρχει ευτυχώς ειρήνη σε πολλά μέρη του κόσμου (ευτυχώς και στην νέα Ευρώπη που εμείς ζούμε) όμως σε πάμπολλα άλλα μέρη του πλανήτη μας δεν υπάρχει αυτό το βασικότατο αγαθό ζωής και ευημερίας. Σύμφωνα με έρευνα ενός αρμόδιου ινστιτούτου ( δημοσίευση στην Süddeutsche Zeitung , 18-3-2011) λαμβάνουν χώρα περίπου 363 εχθροπραξίες ή πόλεμοι στις ημέρες μας. Υποστηρίζοντας ότι η ειρήνη είναι το ανώτατο βασικό αγαθό, υποβάλλουμε  αίτηση στο ioc (international Olympic committee ) – ιδιαίτερα μετά την 1η Ολυμπιάδας νεότητας στην Σιγκαπούρη 2010 – να θεσπιστεί νομικά εκ νέου η Ολυμπιακή εκεχειρία και να γίνει – συγκεκριμένα κατά την επόμενη Ολυμπιάδα στο Λονδίνο 2012 – ένα διεθνές συμπόσιο ειρήνης, που θα χαρακτηρίζεται  από μέγιστη δημοκρατικότητα από την επιλογή των προσώπων που θα πάρουν μέρος μέχρι και του τρόπου διεξαγωγής του διαλόγου.

Dear friends, dear friends of sports and arts!

The creation and establishment of the Olympic Games (Olympics) in Greece, in 776 BC((official), were surely great moments in the civilization of the time. Relaunch them in 1896 – as they had been banned and therefore “absent ”for more than 15 centuries – was also another culminating point that we owe to Mr. Pierre de Coubertin (Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin). In the beginning, the Olympics were all synonymous with sport, art and PEACE.

„Iera’ekecheiria „( join hands to make peace), did not really experienced a rebirth as such. So that’s all especially this aspect of peace, one of the basic components of

JO, which we would like to put back on the agenda in these times of universal wars and conflicts. We claim, for example, the establishment of an international symposium for peace and democratic dialogue during each „Olympiad“.

We, the members of the EUROPE INTERCULTURAL & FRIENDS initiative, would be delighted or even happy if, in tribute to Mr. Pierre de Coubertin, all of France and all francophiles supported this project, among others by signing our petition! All your comments or suggestions for improvement in favor of the project are of course welcome!

• The Olympics, dedicated to Zeus, King of the Gods, were The Event sporty, artistic and peaceful of Antiquity not to be missed! In 2010, for the first time, the Youth Olympics, i.e. for 14-18 year olds. The occasion of revive the OLYMPIC PEACE project! The first Olympic Games (Olympics) were held in Greece in 776 before our era and, for 12 centuries, they were considered The sporting, artistic and peaceful competition not to be missed. Emperor Theodosius I had them banned in 393. However, the French Pierre de Coubertin (bravo!) Had them reinstated at the end of the 19th century, so that in 1896 the Olympic Games took place again (in Greece).
• As a fervent and competent initiator of the Olympics, De Coubertin took special care to preserve its authenticity: parallel to sporting events – thus following the Greek motto „Kalo k’agatho“ (healthy and good) – there were also artistic competitions. In 1912, De Coubertin, under the pseudonym “ Georges Hohrod and Martin Eschbach ”, even won the very first gold medal in the discipline of literature thanks to the work „Ode At the sports „. (In 1913 he designed the Olympic rings, which became the symbol of the games in 1920.) Nowadays, the Olympics represent the celebration of sport. Art doesn’t is no longer part. But what’s more important is still here:
• Indeed, the Olympic Games were above all the symbol of fair play, of solidarity, mutual understanding and peace. (At the time, before the start of the Olympics, a law reestablished peace everywhere in the country.) Today, in the 21st century, wars are raging, and not just in Afghanistan or Iraq; repeat: 363 (three one hundred and sixty-three) clashes, wars included, are recorded currently worldwide (Süddeutsche Zeitung of 18.01.2011). This is why we must all – in a peremptory way – speak out in favor of the peace. Because war is the opposite of fair play, democracy, prosperity and solidarity. War is injustice, non-democracy, non-solidarity, the worst of miseries; it’s here terror, brutality, destruction and even the opposite of life. All together – with the Youth Olympics – we plead, by our signatures, so that henceforth at each Olympic Games, all countries at war undertake for at least one day to stop the conflicts and, instead, to ensure a just democratic DIALOGUE reign and indispensable. So that soon we can all access the justice and coexist in peace.
